I got married June 14, 2025 and I just wanted to share with you all some pictures. It was the most beautiful day!! You all made me feel so special and I loved when I came to find my dress. The dress was perfect and I never wanted to take it off with it having all the little details that were on it. It was so beautiful and I just had the best day in it and I just wanted to share that. I want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to brides of today, these ladies made my wedding day and my dress picking so special. I had a previous bad experience with another bridal shop and not being treated the same as their "smaller" brides. I was so defeated, I did not want to go dress shopping again. My girls and mom came together and found brides of today. I was not sure what to expect walking into their business, but I was welcomed with the brightest friendliest smiles. These ladies made me feel like I was like every other bride and deserved what every other bride gets for their dress experience. I was told to go ahead and look around and pick some dresses to try on, I was looking at the sizes and concerned that I could not fit them. Pam was amazing and told me not to look at the sizes and they would get me into whatever dress I chose! Wow what a difference from the other bridal shop. I tried on a few dresses and the one I picked was the 2nd dress I tried on. I knew this was the dress even though they could not zipper it to get the full effect. I cried when I got my measurements as I was worried again when the dress came it would not fit. They worked with the designer and she actually created a new pattern to make the dress 2 sizes bigger than the biggest size to ensure it would fit. I honestly can not thank these ladies enough for the love and care they have for their brides. I would and do recommend them to any plus size bride who is looking for a dress. I felt as thought these ladies were family! When the dress came in it was actually TOO big and they worked their magic to let me know everything was going to be okay and we would get it fixed. ~Mettae

Here are some essential tips and key things to know before shopping for your Mother of the Bride/Groom gown... Start with the Dress Timing: Begin shopping 6-8 months before the wedding . Mother's dresses take 4 months to order and allow 2 months for alterations. Coordinate with the Bride: Consult with the bride to discuss colors, formality, and the vibe of what she envisions you wearing the day of. Traditionally, the mother-of-the-bride chooses first, then the mother-of-the-groom coordinates accordingly. Best way is to bring along the bride to your appointments. Try the Full Look—Not Just the Dress: Bring the day of or similar shows and undergarments to appointments and fittings. A dress can look completely different with the right (or wrong) foundation. Alterations Are (Almost) Always Needed: Expect tailoring. Even expensive gowns often need adjustments. Budget both time and money for alterations. Take Photos Before You Buy: Snap pictures in natural lighting from multiple angles to get a true sense of how the dress will appear in wedding photos.

It was the absolute best day and I felt so gorgeous in my gown from brides of today. The amount of compliments I got on it made me feel so special. Thank you for helping me with one of the biggest decisions in the wedding planning process.

I felt like an absolute princess in this gorgeous gown.  The day went so perfectly!  It rained all day and then the sun came out as we read out Vows.  It was a beautiful and unforgettable day.   Thank you ladies for making it so special while getting my dress 🥰❤️

I can't even begin to describe how magical of an experience I had at Brides of Today. They immediately made my family and I feel welcomed. I was very nervous going into dress shopping since I've always been plus sized and was worried nothing would look good on me, but that fear and anxiety quickly melted away. Pam listened to what I wanted and pulled all of these beautiful gowns. Me being as picky as I am, I liked the top of one dress and the bottom of another and Pam told me that they could make that happen because they were both Casablanca gowns. She then walked me through the customizations process and I was overjoyed that my dream dress could be made, and that I wouldn't have to settle for one dress over the other. Pam stuck with me from my initial appointment, approving the sketch, to picking up my gown. It turned out better than I imagined. I felt more beautiful and confident than I've ever felt, and all of my guests couldn't get over how pretty and unique my gown was. Brides of Today went above and beyond for me and made me feel like apart of their family. My experience was so positive, I later joined the team because I wanted to be able to make other brides feel that same way.

Thank you so much for your help and amazing professionalism when we came in a few months ago to look and purchase my wedding gown. It looked beautiful on our big day last week, and I wanted to share some pictures with you. It is difficult for me to put into words just how magical our wedding day was. It was everything we hoped for and more. My dress was one of the highlights of my day. I was so nervous that I would be disappointed with my wedding photos due to not feeling beautiful or comfortable in the photos, but that couldn't be further from how I felt in my gown on the day of the wedding. My dress was more beautiful than I remembered when trying it on when I purchased it. It fit me so well and I received so many compliments. I am so thankful for Brides of Today for the full experience of trying dresses on, to finding my perfect wedding dress.

I know it’s cliché for a bride to say that my wedding day was the best day of my life— but I officiate, sing, and do floral arrangements for weddings— and I’m hard pressed to find a day filled with more unfettered joy than this. Ben and I were surrounded by as many friends and family as we could fit in the venue, there was so much love in that room— everyone was there to celebrate, and just as ready to PARTY! Our big day was rainy, but it made the ceremony cozy and intimate, and the pictures even more stunning. We added so many personal touches in our event that made it absolutely perfect. I cannot say enough about how perfect my dress was, and neither could my guests. I could hear people gasping as I walked down the aisle! I have never felt so beautiful. And I will get to wear it again—I’m having it modified to wear when I emcee a local Faerie Festival. The kids will definitely know who is the Faerie Queen! Thank you so much to Brides of Today for serving the plus size community with dignity, and Pam for making the trying on dresses a fun experience. I cannot recommend them enough. I didn’t even bother going anywhere else for my dress, and I’m so glad!
